Night of Women’s Vocals 24.–26. 4. 2026

Three days full of music, female voices, inspiration, singing workshops, focused workshops, sharing, fun, and emotions. The 4th annual Night of Women’s Vocals festival is behind us, its special atmosphere continuing to resonate within us.

This fourth year brought one big change – the festival was expanded from 2 to 3 days. In addition to our traditional home venue, Jazz Dock, we also opened the doors of the Velkopřevorský Palace, where workshops, discussions, and the final concert were hosted. The evening concerts were sold out, workshops were full to capacity, and the festival welcomed almost 600 visitors!

Day 1: Jazz Dock

As it does every year, the festival opened at Jazz Dock.

The afternoon was dedicated to a singing workshop led by Mirka Novak. Her energy, openness, and ability to create a safe space for all participants once again exemplified that singing truly belongs to everyone. As a highlight, workshop participants performed as part of the evening concert.

In the evening, these celebrated Czech and Slovak singers performed on stage: Naďa Válová, NIKA, Marta Töpferová, Martina Trchová, Anna Kubalová (SK), and Petra Ernyeiová.

We were also delighted by the continuation of our collaboration with ZUŠ Open and the Magdalena Kožená Foundation. The festival showcased the young talented singer Anežka Povolná, who had the special opportunity to perform in front of a sold-out audience alongside professional female artists.

Day 2: Velkopřevorský palác & Jazz Dock

The second day opened up another dimension of the NIGHT OF WOMEN’S VOCALS festival.

The historic spaces of the Velkopřevorský Palace were transformed for the whole day into a space for meeting, education, and exchange of experiences.

The program included: a breath workshop by Pavla Fendrichová, a lecture on the psychoacoustics of sound, collective singing with Ridina Ahmedová, a seminar on recording vocals with Adam Pakosta, and a guided tour of the palace. Martina Borůvka’s workshop was cherished, and again workshop participants performed later that evening at the concert in Jazz Dock.

In the evening, the festival returned to Jazz Dock, where the second sold-out concert continued. Once again, a number of distinguished personalities of the Czech and Slovak music scenes shared the stage, joined by the young singer Eva Horká, another emerging talent that we were able to support through our collaboration with ZUŠ Open.

Day 3: Velkopřevorský palác

Sunday was dedicated to practical work with the singers and exchanging professional experiences.

The music workshop How to Perform on Stage (Stage Presence) was led by Radka Fišarová, Markéta Foukalová, and Mirka Novak. In small groups, participants focused on song interpretation, stage presence, and how to perform confidently in front of an audience.

The afternoon saw a panel discussion on the topic Life as a Singer, moderated by Anna Marie Schorm from Czech Radio Vltava. Marta Töpferová, Ridina Ahmedová, and Klára Vytisková shared their experiences with songwriting, performing, and everyday life as professional female artists.

The festival reached its finale with a beautiful closing concert featuring Beata Hlavenková with The Pavel Bořkovec Quartet and Slovak singer Kristína Mihaľová with guitarist Jakub Šedivý (together called Lash & Grey). The atmosphere in the historic Velkopřevorský Palace hall was impressive. Visitors will remember this incredible music experience for a long time to come.

What did visitors have to say about the Night of Women’s Vocals 2026 festival?

“I got great inspiration and practical advice that helped me move forward and have stayed with me until today.”

“Thank you so much for the energy you put into the festival. We could feel it through the music. What a wonderful event.”

“Excellent quality, atmosphere, and spaces. I am grateful for your organization of this event.”

“The closing concert was an unforgettable experience for us.”

3 Evenings | 8 Vocalists | 2 Venues

Jazz, Slovak folk music, world music, funk, soul, Sephardic melodies, and original compositions – this festival is not only a celebration of musical diversity, but above all a celebration of the female voice. It is also a platform for emerging musical talent and for intergenerational encounters between women vocalists across genres, countries, and continents. Each artist performs songs in specially created arrangements prepared exclusively for a single festival evening.

Whether you are a devoted music lover or simply looking for new musical experiences, NIGHT OF WOMEN’S VOCALS promises a unique experience that will lift you to your feet and touch your soul.

Thank you

We would like to thank all the vocalists, workshop leaders, musicians, partners, volunteers, and visitors who were part of this year’s NIGHT OF WOMEN’S VOCALS festival.

We would also like to thank the Magdalena Kožená Endowment Fund, the ZUŠ Open project, and all our partners and supporters for their trust and support.

But what brought us the greatest joy was the atmosphere we created together – an atmosphere of openness, mutual support, inspiration, and sharing. Exactly what we had hoped for.

And we are already looking forward to meeting again!
